BOARD OF REVIEW MEETINGS

The Grattan Township Board of Review will meet on:

Monday, March 8 th , 2021 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Thursday, March 12 th , 2021 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Letter appeals are preferred and must be received by March 10 th , 2021.

Appointments in-person are dependent on Heath Department regulations and may have to be virtual.

Grattan Township Residents, Patrons and Employees:

To comply with the MDHHS orders and further protect staff, Grattan Township has made the decision to suspend in-person transactions at the Township offices from January 28- February25, 2021.

Meetings scheduled in the upcoming months will take place virtually OR in-person as the MDHHS orders allow. Please reference the Township door notices and website for more information on meetings.

The Township will continue to provide all services in a no-contact manner beginning January 28, 2021. The lobby doors will be locked. Please call 616-691-8450 to arrange the dropping off larger scale items, such as building plans. All other transactions must be completed by utilizing the secure drop box located to the right of the front door, postal mail, or email.

Tax payments can now be paid online via the Township's website at www.grattantownship.org or payments may be put in the drop box. If a receipt is needed for your records, please note the request with your payment receipt and we will gladly mail it to you.

Staff will check the drop box frequently throughout the day, but please expect a minimum of 2 business days to complete your requests as staff may be working staggered shifts.

The township will not begin scheduling Hall rentals until after March 30, 2021.

Administrative staff will continue to actively monitor, plan and communicate about this situation in the upcoming days and weeks. Although we are not a heavily populated community, we want all who utilizes our services to know that we made these decisions with the health, safety, and welfare of our employees in mind. Providing basic municipal services is still our foremost goal, but we must act not to contribute to the community spread.

 

Township Department Emails:

•  Building Department – all applications are being accepted via email/drop box or mail. To submit via email send to Laura at zbaa@grattantownship.org .

•  Zoning Department - all applications are being accepted via email/drop box or mail.

The Zoning Administrator can be contacted regarding reviews at zoningadmin@grattantownship.org .

•  Hall Rentals - All hall rentals cancelled until March30, 2021.

•  Senior Meals - Cancelled until further notice.

•  Township Offices –No In-person Transactions from January 28 -February26, 2021.

The officials of Grattan Township very much appreciate everyone's indulgence and patience regarding these matters, and as this is an evolving situation to continue to utilize the Township's website for additional updates.
